MONIKA DROŻYŃSKA : Born in 1979, artist and activist living in Kraków, Poland, graduate from Academy of Fine Art in Cracow. She deals with hand embroidery and fabric that she often links with social events and installations in public space. She collaborated with: CCA Ujazdowski Castle, National Art Gallery « Zachęta » and Warsaw Grand Theatre National Opera, the Arsenal Gallery in Bialystok, Wroclaw Contemporary Museum, and Contemporary Arts Centre « Łaźnia Nowa » in Gdańsk, and abroad with Museum Quartier in Vienna, European Culture Association in Istanbul, Országos Színháztörténeti Múzeum és Intézet – Museum of Modern Art in Budapest, Bozar in Brussels.

She is the finalist of the following prestigious competitions:

« Kulturalne odloty » (Cultural Take-offs) organized by the largest daily in Poland « Gazeta Wyborcza » and « Kulturysta » (Culture Vulture) competition of the Polish Radio. A fellow of the Ministry of Culture as well as of the Visegrad Artist Residency Program.

Her works feature in the Gallery of Contemporary Art « Bunkier Sztuki », Kraków National Museum, Mocak Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow, the collection of Deutsche Bank and other private collections. Founder of School embroidery for ladies and gentlemen « Hands of gold ». Member of « Hands of Gold » Collective. Works with the Gallery Exhibition Bureau / Polish Modern Art Foundation.
